How Packages Work
Frequently Asked Questions
- How long is the coaching programme?
Each coaching programme ideally last over a period of six months. This gives enough time for the skills and mindset shift required.
- How often are the coaching sessions?
The coaching should take place no less than once every three weeks.
- Is the coaching in person or on a virtual platform?
If possible, some of the coaching is in person. However, because most people spend the majority of their time working on a virtual platform, some coaching sessions explore how to use this medium most effectively.
- Can I work with you only working on a virtual platform?
Yes. Working on Zoom or Teams is possible and produces good results. The sessions are shorter than in person sessions (see below).
- How long are the coaching sessions?
In person sessions are two hours. This gives us long enough to introduce physical and vocal techniques and then apply them to real scenarios you are negotiating at work.
Virtual sessions are one to 1.5 hours depending on what suits you.
- Is there work to do between sessions?
Yes, there is. The nature of the practice can be divided into two areas:
- You apply what we’ve worked on in the coaching sessions while you’re communicating at work. This doesn’t require any additional time since it’s ‘on the job’.
- You practice certain skills in your own time.
- When can I start to see changes?
It’s possible to see changes after your first session. This is highly practical coaching that produces subtle behavioural modifications during each coaching session. If you take those changes into the work place you will notice you get more positive results in response to your communication.
- How do I know if you’re the right coach for me?
It is vital that the coachee and coach are the right fit. Not all coaches are right for all people and neither is this type of coaching right for everyone.
To this end we will have a 30-minute call on zoom so we can meet and you can tell me the areas of communication you want to develop. I can then explain to you what we’ll be doing during the coaching programme. After this meeting, I draw up a proposal which is sent to you and your HR department.
We then have another 30-minute zoom call to go over the proposal and to discuss further questions.
Only after this process should you decide if you want to work with me. You are under no obligation at any point.
- What if I’m too busy to have a session within three weeks
Nothing is set in stone. We have to work with what we have and people in senior roles are very busy. We will adapt accordingly.
- Is there a cancellation policy?
If you can’t attend a session, whether in person or on zoom, you will need to let us know five working days before that session otherwise you will lose the time.
- What happens in a typical coaching session?
Well, there is no such thing as a typical coaching session. However, you can expect practical, physical and vocal exercises, theory, practice of real life scenarios that challenge you and talking you way to greater clarity as a leader and a person.
